Beginning Anew: An Interview with Reese Brown

If you’ve been here since the beginning, you know that Season 1 of Making Meaning began with me, sitting down at a mic, and discussing why I was starting a podcast. Flash forward to now, an entire season of the podcast complete, and I am being interviewed by one of my dearest friends Sophie Alford! It was such a pleasure to have this conversation and served as such a wonderful reminder of where the podcast came from and a benchmark of how far The Cohere Collective has grown. Further, it has been an incredible reminder of all the work Cohere can still do.

Sophie’s beautiful and engaging questions opened up a new dimension of intimacy and familiarity for the podcast which I think it will benefit from in an important way. It’s always interesting for me to consider personal questions like these and answer them in this public format. It has certainly been a pleasure to interview other people, but to put myself in their shoes has provided an opportunity to reflect on what I ask of other people. Further, it allows me to publicly practice the work that I encourage others to do.

It has been so exciting for me to imbue this work with some of my own personal experiences, but it is even more exciting to see where The Cohere Collective is going - thank you for being a part of it!

I hope you all enjoyed this conversation as much as I did! If you want more content, subscribe to Making Meaning on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, and subscribe to the blog so you never miss a post! If you want to join the conversation, follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, and Threads all @thecoherecollective. If you want more of Sophie, follow her on Instagram @sophie_alford8.

Until next time, so much love!
